Design of quantum filters with pre-determined reflection and transmission properties
نویسندگان
چکیده
A method based on the solution of the one-dimensional single channel inverse scattering is proposed for the design of quantum filters having specific reflection and transmission properties. The inversion procedure allows one, via modifications of a prefabricated prototype system, to reach the desired filter properties. The feasibility of the method is demonstrated on several examples, where filter properties are requested in different energy ranges. The shape and range of the corresponding potential are smooth and therefore they render themselves to applications in microelectronics, nanostractures and in quantum devices. r 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Quantum current modeling in nano-transistors with a quantum dot
Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) serve as a new class of ‘zero dimensional’ nanomaterial’s in thecarbon class with sizes below 10 nm. As light emitting nanocrystals, QDs are assembled from semiconductormaterials, from the elements in the periodic groups of II-VI, III-V or IV-VI, mainly thanks to impacts of quantum confinement QDs have unique optical properties such as brighter, highly pho...

متن کاملTransmission Properties of the Periodic Structures Based on Graphene Nonlinear Optical Conductivity in a Terahertz Field
By developing the terahertz (THz) technology, in addition to generators and detectors of THz waves, the existence of some tools such as modulators and filters are needed. THz filters are important tools for various applications in the field of chemical and biological sensors. Linear and nonlinear optical properties of the graphene have attracted lots of attention. In fact graphene exhibits vari...
متن کاملCoherent Transport of Single Photon in a Quantum Super-cavity with Mirrors Composed of Λ-Type Three-level Atomic Ensembles
In this paper, we study the coherent transport of single photon in a coupled resonator waveguide (CRW) where two threelevel Λ-type atomic ensembles are embedded in two separate cavities. We show that it is possible to control the photon transmission and reflection coefficients by using classical control fields. In particular, we find that the total photon transmission and reflection are achieva...

The absorption performance of anechoic coatings depends on the material properties, layer thicknesses and cavity distribution density and cavity size. In this paper a design method based on numerical simulation was presented by combining FEM and acoustic duct method (ADM). Analyzing of anechoic coatings was performed under active sonar impinging plane wave by normal incident angle. In thi...
